Description : This kind of NCIS: Season 8 functions fantastic, simple to use and adjust. The price for this wa reduced compered to other areas My spouse and i explored, and not much more as compared to equivalent merchendise

This unique item Offer surpass own prospect, this place has turned into a great buy for myself, The theory showed up properly and also swiftly NCIS: Season 8

NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is more than just an action drama. With liberal doses of humor, it's a show that focuses on the sometimes complex and always amusing dynamics of a team of special agents forced to work together in high-stress situations. From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, these special agents travel the globe to investigate all crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties. It's no wonder that NCIS is such a wildly popular series. The show takes an irresistible and mysterious setting--the behind-the-scenes world of military criminal investigation--and sets engaging crime procedurals within it, with a dream cast. Mark Harmon, never better, is Special Agent Gibbs, a flinty ex-marine who brooks no nonsense but who also inspires deep devotion from his team. Assisting him are his sometime sidekick Agent DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), lab specialist Abby (the perky-goth Pauley Perrette), computer whiz Agent McGee (Sean Murray), cool-as-ice Ziva (Cote de Pablo), and criminal pathologist Dr. Mallard, a.k.a. Ducky (David McCallum). This season also sees much more of the nerdy, earnest Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen), who's coming into his own as a cast member. Season eight of NCIS resolves the cliffhanger from the last season before diving into the deep end of some heavy-duty investigations, but always leavened by humor and camaraderie. This season the team tackles a seemingly random child kidnapping, a horrifying serial killer (the "Port-to-Port Killer") seeming to target the navy, terrorist threads real and potential, the infiltration of interns, and lots of intrigue, subterfuge, and double and even triple agents. Guest stars include Robert Wagner, William Devane, and Bob Newhart. The action is all heightened with the backdrop of a very real war, and very real battle-scarred sailors and marines returning home to a new, challenging home landscape.

Yet somehow the talented writers of NCIS can tell these taxing plots with plenty of humor and wisecracking. This set contains six discs and all 24 episodes (including the directorial debut episode of Weatherly, which happens to be very well done), and tons of extras. It's delightful to see that the chemistry of the cast is as real and affable off-screen as on-screen. Features include a look at the entire story arc of NCIS Director Vance (the steely Rocky Carroll); a conversation with NCIS writers; and a fascinating interview with Leon Carroll Jr., a technical adviser to the series. One engaging feature involves questions from the fans, in which each cast member answers a direct question. When one fan asks Weatherly how he would characterize DiNozzo's relationship with Gibbs, Weatherly cracks up, and says, "Well, it's a little bit father-son, a little bit Butch and Sundance--though I'm not sure who is who--and a little bit Turner and Hooch." Which is exactly why fans of NCIS keep coming back for more. --A.T. Hurley

New Mysteries To Solve...
"NCIS" continued its superb run as network TV's top-ranked drama series into its eighth season, blessed by the return of an outstanding core cast with its fun team chemistry, and some exciting and entertaining story lines.

Mark Harmon returns as crusty Senior Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, leader of the NCIS Major Case Response Team, assisted by Michael Weatherly as wise-cracking Special Agent Tony DiNozzo, Cote de Pablo as former Mossad agent/newly-minted Special Agent Ziva David, and Sean Murray as computer whiz Special Agent Tim McGee, backed by Pauley Parrette as unique forensic tech Abby Sciuto and David McCallum as venerable medical examiner "Ducky" Mallard.

The season opener resolves last season's cliffhanger, the team's deadly confrontation with a drug cartel targeting Special Agent Gibbs. A midseason multi-episode segment reveals the complicated backstory of NCIS Director Leon Vance and his Israeli counterpart, while bringing Ziva face to face with...
The best season to date **SPOILERS**
Season 8 picked up where season 7 left off, but the quality was 100x better, first, we see a duo of episodes dedicated to the past of Director Leon Vance, and how he first came to join NCIS, I'm personally not a Leon fan, but these episodes damn well nearly changed my mind. Secondly, we see a Special Agent Caitlin Todd-centric episode, via flashback of course. One missing scene, and a new speaking part (Sasha recorded specifically for this episode) dubbed over an old scene, finally, rounding out our collection of blast to the past episodes is a DiNozzo centric episode, the inside jokes in this one, as well as the Vance one are legendary.

Jenny is mentioned a lot, too, a flashback of her is seen in the Kate episode, also.

NCIS continues to deliver great storylines, and this season is one of, if not the, best, with Special Guest Stars such as the brilliant Sarah Jane Morris and Kerr Smith, as well as some making their final appearances, ie Muse Watson (Mike), this...
Best Season Yet!
NCIS continues to surprise me. I always think that the next season cannot be as good as the last, but somehow the story, the characters and the plot continue to grow and evolve. Season eight was my favourite season so far. I think the running plot of the port to port killer really added an extra element to the series, especially when he seems to have focused his attention upon Gibbs. Some of my favourite episodes happen in this series and I think one of the most shocking episodes that rivals, Kate's Death, happens in this series. I cannot find enough words to say all the good things I want to say about this series. I hope that Season Nine continues in the same direction as Season Eight. A recommended buy!

One of the Great TV Series...Reflects Well Upon Men and Women in the US Navy, USMC and US Military
A continuation of one of the great TV Series in the history of broadcast media. Creative, entertaining, unexpected twists and turns, thought provoking, etc. As the father (without a military background) of a combat Marine officer who has commanded scout-sniper qualified Marines in combat on multiple occasions, I am gratified by the accurate manner in which NCIS has captured many of the values and traditions of the Marine Corps and of the character traits and mindset of United States Marines in the NCIS series and in the central character of US Marine Gunnery Sgt. (albeit no longer active duty) and former scout-sniper Leroy Jethro Gibbs ... from my vicarious experience as a father looking from the outside to the inside, the Marine Corps is filled with men and women who are physically and psychologically tough but who are also loyal, caring individuals who are creative / outside the box thinkers who ask for and receive assignment of extremely difficult and dangerous missions; for whom...

Can't Wait--Thanks for Season Pass!! Looking forward to the 12th season of the best show on television!! To the entire production crew of NCIS--Producers, stage hands, camera crew, pre and post production, writers and cast-- Keep up the good work !! You've given me HOURS of great entertainment...you are the best in the industry as far as I am concerned!

Update: I just watched "Twenty Clicks". And it was in my Season Pass library within 24 hours of the premiere broadcast on TV...COOL! Awesome different start for NCIS because of a lack of a cliff-hanger from Season 11. Still keeping the NCIS machine in top form. Spoiler alert: did not like the team split and sad ending for the IT Guy, who I thought had character possibilities untapped. Overall a winner episode. Good start, Great job!! Looking forward to more episodes in Season 12!!

To those who mourn the loss of Cote de Pablo: The same fan reaction was noted when Sasha Alexander left the show. PLEASE give Emily...
Back in the saddle again...
NCIS's 12th season opens with a bang, as Gibbs and McGee travel to Russia to escort home a computer specialist who has made enemies. Their evacuation by helicopter goes badly; the three end up in the woods, twenty kilometers from the Finnish border, hunted by some nasty Russian mercenaries. It will be revealed that their leader is one Sergei Michnev, an old friend of Ziva David's half-brother Ari, and Sergei wants revenge on Gibbs. The chase through the forest is quite exciting. Gibbs and McGee will get a little help from the crew back at headquarters, and from Tony, who launches his own rescue mission. Great suspense for a good season opener, and this one will generate recurring danger for the team throughout the season.

This season, NCIS tries hard to back on track after the shambles caused by Ziva's departure last season. NSA transfer Eleanor Bishop becomes a regular part of the team, while her husband becomes best buds with Gibbs, of all people. Tony gets a new...

This kind of obcject delivers overtake out prospect, that one has turned into a fantastic upgrade on me personally, The theory showed up safely and also rapidly NCIS: Season 7

NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is more than just an action drama. With liberal doses of humor, it's a show that focuses on the sometimes complex and always amusing dynamics of a team of special agents forced to work together in high-stress situations. From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, these special agents travel the globe to investigate all crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties."A few months ago, I had not even heard of NCIS," a terrorist remarks in the gripping season opener, "Truth or Consequences," a benchmark episode. Where's he been? NCIS was television's top-rated scripted drama, an impressive achievement for a show in its seventh season. NCIS may not have any Emmys to its credit or generate water cooler buzz, but it's got a devoted fan base who will follow Special Agent Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and the rest of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service wherever their investigations take them. In the brilliantly constructed and executed "Truth or Consequences," it's North Africa, where movie-referencing hunk Special Agent DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and McGee (Sean Murray) have been captured while investigating Ziva's disappearance. For uninitiated "probies," this episode serves as a series primer as DiNozzo, tied to a chair and shot up with sodium pentothal, gives a rundown to his captor about the rest of the team and their standing in the NCIS universe. There is considerable comfort to be taken in the show's format. Episodes usually begin with discovery of a shocking and grisly murder, then office banter and byplay until Gibbs announces said crime ("We got a dead marine, grab your gear") and then the labyrinthine investigation leading to an act 4 twist. This isn't Law and Order, where sometimes the guilty walk. This is NCIS and justice is always served. But it's not the crimes; it's the characters that are at the heart of this series' enduring popularity. This season provides Ziva (Cote de Pablo) with an especially satisfying arc as she quits the Mossad to become an actual NCIS agent and studies for her United States citizenship exam. Her will they-won't they romantic tension with DiNozzo simmers satisfactorily over the course of the season. Season 7 comes full circle with Gibbs's capture by Mexican drug cartel leader Paloma Reynosa, seeking revenge for Gibbs's murder of her father. She offers him a career change. "You might as well put a bullet in my head," Gibbs predictably replies. But she ups the ante in an unspeakably bad way that is the stuff season-ending cliffhangers are made of. This DVD contains interesting special features that immerse viewers in the production of the series, from the sound design to the design of Gibbs's house, which is seen for the first time this season. --Donald Liebenson

Review :
NCIS, best show out there :) **MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS**
Ok, now this review might sound strange, BUT.....

I am a late comer to NCIS, for several reasons. Over May, feeling a little under the weather and getting tired of all the stuff I already had on DVD, I bought seasons 1-6...I had only watched the shows in re-runs on USA and had occasionally watched some episodes of season 7 online (I had to cancel my TV service).

WOW....is all I can say. From the pilot (Yankee White) in season 1 to the episode Aaliyah (season 6); this cast/crew has my attention. And, I guess they're going to keep it for a while. The fact it is character driven, to me as a viewer, is more important than story-driven. It's the people we as viewers attach ourselves to, who we learn to love/hate each week. Who we connect with, some for different reasons.

I've had a hate/love relationship with Mark Harmon and his characters through his many projects. Who could forget he played Ted Bundy?

Each character has their own place in our...
NCIS 7
Not only will I recommend the 7th season of this show, I recommend the other 6 seasons. When the original pilot was a spin off of JAG, I said that I would not watch this show because Mark Harmon was not one of my favorite actors. But I watch it anyway. So, as I said earlier, I own the first six seasons and have pre-ordered the 7th season. Not only do I like Harmon but the entire cast is the best. This is my number one show on TV.The Mentalist is my number 2. I even watch reruns more than other 1st run shows. The whole cast works so well together. When Kate was killed off I thought that it would really changed the show. But I'm glad to say it didn't. If you haven't watched NCIS, give it a try and I think you will be hooked.

The Best TV Show Of All Time...
Well, the time has come for Season 7 to be released (less than 1 week to go in fact) so I thought I'd weigh in with my thoughts and opinions.

First, NCIS is the best TV show of all time. I know that over the years there have been some pretty close calls but I have to say, in my opinion, NCIS just edges them out. Being a big fan of the "good wins over bad" type of shows you can see why I love this team. I must admit that I did find M.A.S.H a close 2nd favourite and I do like JAG, CSI (Original instead of spin-off's), Third Watch and Alias etc but NCIS is still Number 1 for me.

Second, this team is amazing. Not only the actors but the director, producer, costume & set design, special effects, sound and vision and especially the writers. I even think that the camera crews and catering and make up - gee, even the cleaning staff deserve a mention. Each person contributes to the show in his or her own way and that's what makes such a lasting impression for the fans...

Back with more action!...
The CBS military crime drama NCIS-Los Angeles returns for a thrilling fifth season in 2013-2014, along with its outstanding cast, crime of the week story lines, and hard-hitting action. The season opens with a resolution of the fourth season finale cliff-hanger, in which Special Agent Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) and LA Detective Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) were undergoing torture at the hands of a vicious arms dealer out to buy some loose nuclear weapons. The NCIS team will mount a rescue of Sam and Deeks, but the effects of their captivity will linger on into the season. The missing nukes may take a bit longer to bring under control.

There are plenty of good plots this season. The NCIS team will deal with bio- and cyber terrorism, a mole within the Los Angeles law enforcement community, an attack on Los Angeles involving a runaway train, and a missing thumb-drive containing a plan for a terrorist attack, along with a Indian Army Nepali soldier operating far from...
Good old fashioned entertainment .....
Being an NCIS addict I was concerned that NCIS Los Angeles wouldn't compare but I was wrong, after the end of episode 1 I was hooked. Although they share Director Vance and occasionally use Abby, it is a totally different format with totally different characters. NCIS LA take on cases not necessarily closely connected to the Navy or Marine Corp and usually include chasing down terrorists, gun runners and European Mafia. It's action packed with a capital A and P. There are 2 sets of partners with Deeks on loan from the LAPD, 2 amazing computer analysts who know no boundaries when it comes to cyberspace and of course the head of NCIS LA, the amazing Henrietta Lang who has been with the Alphabet Soup and NCIS forever, she spear heads the team with her experience, wit and humour. So if you like fast action, humour and just good old fashioned entertainment, do not miss NCIS Los Angeles !!

Great franchise
Great characters, love the banter. This show stands on the capable shoulders of JAG and NCIS; in its 5th season, it is coming into its own and I look forward to many more. Love how Deeks and Nell's characters have developed into more central roles. LOVE Hetty and of course can't get enough of Sam and Callen. Keep up the great work!

We love NCIS!
We love watching NCIS. Our main reason for being hooked on the show is the wonderful characters. After watching them for season after season we feel like we know them. ( When out shopping a few weeks ago we saw some scull patterned pajama bottoms and I started to tell my husband "we should get these for Abby.") We love how the characters have developed over the years and love how they interact with each other. This is the only television program that we watch and hope it goes on for many more years.

Great---just great
I may be biased, but I absolutely love this TV drama, so every episode is interesting and a must-see. I can't get over the chemistry of the cast and the humor they add to crime scene investigation. I could watch this show all day long and not get bored.

NCIS is still the best!
The relationships between the characters continues to grow as does each individual character. Add the drama and it's the best!

NCIS moves to New Orleans...
The tested and approved NCIS franchise makes the big move to the Big Easy with "NCIS: New Orleans." Scott Bakula leads as NCIS Special Agent in charge Dwayne Cassius Pride, a former New Orleans sheriff's deputy with a long history in his home town, including a father in prison and a long-running feud with the Broussard crime family. The rest of the regular cast includes Lucas Black as Special Agent Christopher LaSalle, JAG-alumni Zoe McLellan as Special Ageny Meredith Brody, and CCH Pounder as medical examiner Dr. Loretta Wade. Lab tech Sebastian Lund and computer forensics tech Patton Plame quickly became regulars over the course of this first season.

It turns out that NCIS has a lot to do in a busy port city like New Orleans, where the Navy does a lot of business. Every week is a new crime to be solved, although there are some season-long plots to be resolved, especially with an organized crime family. The team chemistry is good and gets better, and the show leans...
I love all three NCIS series
I have stated this before. I love all three NCIS series. One must remember that each series is not going to be the same as the others in their story line or the way the characters interact with one another. In NCIS New Orleans, it has been fun to learn about the history of New Orleans as well as the stories for each week. The challenge is always there to try to solve the murder before the show does. It draws you in, keeps you there untill the end. Its just a wonderful series.

Welcome addition to the NCIS family. (No Spoilers)
4.5 stars, looking forward to a 5 star season 2.

The show was introduced in the NCIS crossover episode "Crescent City", and 5 months later the NCIS: New Orleans pilot aired. The show is not as polished as the original NCIS (Yet), the actors are getting handles on their characters, and the writers are starting up their long haul stories. Season 1 is good, but I think season 2 will be better.

The team is led by Dwayne Cassius Pride, sometimes called "King". He is a friendly NCIS Agent who loves the city of New Orleans, his family, cooking, making music, and catching bad guys.

Christopher LaSalle is next in line, he has been on Prides team for a while, raised in Alabama he talks sweet to the ladies and talks strait with the guys.

Both Pride and LaSalle have strong southern chivalrous demeanors and very good reputations throughout New Orleans.

Team newcomer Meredith Brody rounds out our main team as a profiler and...

Season 6 of NCIS: Los Angeles blows suspense out of the water in 24 adrenaline-charged, thrill-seeking episodes. Agents 'G' Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) lead their team of high-caliber operatives, including Special Agent Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah), LAPD liaison Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), tech wizard Eric Beale (Barrett Foa), and intelligence analyst Nell Jones (Renee Felice Smith). This season, the team mobilizes to protect beloved Operations Manager Hetty Lange (Oscar winner Linda Hunt*) from a lethal Cold War enemy, even as they're being investigated by the Department of Justice. NCIS Assistant Director Owen Granger (Miguel Ferrer) struggles to keep the unit in check, as they push every boundary and cross every line to defend their country, complete their missions and safeguard their own.

Review :
Let's get started...
NCIS-LA Season Six doesn't waste any time re-engaging with the fan base. Callen and Sam are trapped aboard a drug-running submersible controlled by jihadists. Hetty Lange is en route Washington DC for a disciplinary hearing over Kensi's off-the-books mission last season in Afghanistan. Kensi and Deeks are trying to run down the drug smugglers who might know something about the submarine, while both are reacting to the return of a certain attractive DEA agent who is an old friend of Deeks. The episode is remarkably tense from start to finish, although there are some humorous moments when Deeks interrogates a white supremacist at a hospital, and Kensi faces off with a potential rival for Deeks. And this is just the first episode.

In a multi-episode narrative arc, the crew will deal with the aftermath of Kensi's mission to Afghanistan last season. Callen and Sam will be launched on a slightly unauthorized mission into Mexico that ends up looking like the last stand of Butch...
Five Stars
Great price....great season...can't wait for Season 7

Awesome different start for NCIS because of a lack of a cliff-hanger from Season 11. Still keeping the NCIS machine in top form. NCIS: LOS ANGELES is a drama about the high stakes world of the Office of Special Projects (OSP), a division of NCIS that is charged with apprehending dangerous and elusive criminals that pose a threat to the nation's security. By assuming false identities and utilizing the most advanced technology, this team of highly trained agents goes deep undercover, putting their lives on the line in the field to bring down their targets.

Review :
Teamwork...
In its strong third season, NCIS-Los Angeles continues to capitalize on its excellent cast, as the NCIS LA-based Office of Special Projects conducts undercover operations against terrorists, spies, arms-dealers, transnational criminals and other threats to the Department of the Navy.

Linda Hunt returns as diminutive and mysterious Operations Manager Hetty Lange, who continues to overawe the agents each week. The original superb buddy team of Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J as agents G. Callen and Sam Hanna is joined by a second field team, consisting of Agent Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) and LAPD detective Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), who are still working on their often hilarious love-hate relationship. Computer geeks Eric Beale (Barrett Foa) and Nell Jones (Renee Smith) form a third team. The mysterious Nell seems to have an additional hush-hush role as cat's paw for Hetty, and will materialize on at least one mission brandishing a firearm with unexpected skill...
NCIS: Los Angeles is so good with a great ending episode for the third season.
The third season is another winner. Daniela Rua really shines as Kensi in this season especially in the two-part episode K Blye. The truth surrounding the death of Kensi's father comes out in these two episodes and it was refreshing to see Marty Deeks serious for once in trying to help Kensi cope. I see a faint stirring of romance between these two and I'm wondering how many seasons it will take for Kensi and Deeks to acknowledge what they feel for one another.

I believe my favorite episode is Neighborhood Watch, where Marty and Kensi go undercover as a newlywed couple in a neighborhood, trying to discover a hidden spy cell. Funny and yet serious. I highly recommend this third season for all NCIS fans.

Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J are great as well. These actors on this show are the best, especially Linda Hunt at Hetty.

One of my favorite crime shows
I have always loved NCIS LA since it fist aired but here recently I have really been into it. I have the first, second and fourth seasons. But the third one had been hard to find... I got it for $13 and it came in great condition.. I got the two day shipping and it arrived on time!!! Thanks so much..

A team of special agents, operating outside the military chain of command, must investigate any crime with pieces of evidence connected to Navy and Marine Corps personnel, regardless of rank or position. Character-driven stories with surprising twists play a large role in the second season of NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service). The NCIS team of investigators is led by Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), an experienced investigator with sometimes unorthodox, but always-effective methods. Working under Gibbs are Special Agent Anthony Dinozzo (Michael Weatherly); Special Agent Caitlin Todd (Sasha Alexander); Forensic Specialist Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette); and NCIS's medical examiner Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum). Additionally, joining the staff this season will be Special Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) whose communication and computer skills outweigh his naiveté. Whether investigating murder or espionage, the NCIS goes global in their quest to solve all crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties.NCIS takes the CSI formula, throws in a good dose of JAG, and comes up with an entertaining series that takes advantage of the actors' likeability. The season begins with the introduction a couple new regulars--agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) and assistant medical examiner Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen). And one cast member departs the show by the end of the season. The six-disc set includes all 23 episodes, which aired on CBS during 2004-2005. The show's sophomore year begins with "See No Evil," in which a Navy officer (guest star David Keith) is forced to embezzle millions of dollars, or risk having his wife and blind daughter killed by a kidnapper (played by Tom Cruise's cousin William Mapother). Led by Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), the crack NCIS team comes through to save the day and reveal the mastermind behind the twisted case. Gibbs doesn't display much more emotion this season than he did in the show's debut, but he's just as sarcastic (and even tempered) when being threatened. During one altercation, the mafia threatens to kill his father, brothers and uncles. Non-plussed, Gibbs calmly says that while he has no male relatives still alive, he'd be happy to fax over the numbers of his three ex-wives.

With the help of his ace medical examiner Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum from The Man from U.N.C.L.E), Gibbs and his team are almost invincible when it comes to solving complicated crimes. Whether he's piecing together the bones of a body, or performing an autopsy on a crisply burnt poodle, Ducky is matter-of-fact as he talks to his dead "clients." Of his nervous but eager assistant Jimmy, Ducky notes, "He means well, but sometimes I have an overwhelming urge to slap him." This season, viewers get to see the romantic (and slightly gross) side of Ducky as he briefly romances a doctor half this age. Also on hand to aid (and annoy) Gibbs are happy-go-lucky Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), former Secret Service agent Caitlin Todd (Sasha Alexander), and forensics expert Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette), who can solve anything if you say "please" and bring her a Big Gulp to sip. Look for a gentle guest appearance by Charles Durning as a Medal of Honor recipient who wants to turn himself in for killing his best friend and fellow comrade during World War II. While the plot twists won't surprise most viewers, the acting, writing, and spirit of the episode leaves the viewer feeling satisfied. --Jae-Ha Kim

Description : Look closely videos big screen This NCIS: Season 5 does fantastic, user friendly and modify. The price for this wa dramatically reduced when compared with other locations we explored, rather than much more than similar item

This unique subject provides exceeded out prospect, this place has chaned into a amazing replace on me personally, The concept came securely and rapidly NCIS: Season 5

NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is more than just an action drama. With liberal doses of humor, it's a show that focuses on the sometimes complex and always amusing dynamics of a team forced to work together in high-stress situations. NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), a former Marine gunnery sergeant, whose skills as an investigator are unmatched, formerly led this troupe of colorful personalities. Gibbs, a man of few words, only needs a look to explain it all. The team includes NCIS Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), an ex-homicide detective who may come off as the world's oldest frat boy, but whose instincts in the field are unparalleled; forensic specialist Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette), a talented scientist whose dark wit matches her Goth style and eclectic tastes, NCIS Special Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), an MIT graduate whose brilliance with computers far overshadows his insecurities in the field and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo), a former Moussad agent who shares a bond with Gibbs over the death of his arch nemesis, Ari, the terrorist who killed former NCIS Special Agent Kate Todd. Assisting the team is medical examiner Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum), who knows it all because he's seen it all, and he's not afraid to let you know. Rounding out the team is NCIS director Jennifer Shepard (Lauren Holly) who has a romantic history with Gibbs. From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, these special agents travel the globe to investigate all crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties.Describing season four of NCIS as "the season of secrets," executive producer Shane Brennan suggests that season five (offered here with 18 episodes, including a two-part finale, on five discs) is "the season of answers." For the most part, that's true--but at season's end, loyal viewers are likely to be thrown for a loop by the death of a major character and a startling set of changes bound to have a profound effect on the show's future. Picking up where the previous year left off, this new batch jumps right in with a continuation of Special Agent Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and company's pursuit of notorious international arms dealer La Grenouille ("The Frog," played by Armand Assante), whom NCIS director Jenny Shepard (Lauren Holly) is particularly keen on taking down--a quest that's complicated by the fact that the bad guy is a CIA asset, and by Agent Anthony DiNozzo's (Michael Weatherly) love affair with La Grenouille's daughter. That storyline, barely touched on thereafter, is resolved in the 14th episode, "Internal Affairs." Meanwhile, the NCIS crew is distracted by an array of other cases, most of them involving murder. Of particular interest are several episodes related to Iraq and the War on Terror: a Naval officer of Syrian descent who's suspected of being an Al Qaeda mole is murdered seconds after Gibbs talks him out of jumping off a building ledge; a Marine who's having a violent bout of post-traumatic stress after returning from the Mideast turns out to be far worse off than that; Medical Examiner Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum) refuses to conduct an autopsy because of the deceased's Muslim beliefs.

There's no doubt that NCIS is slick, entertaining prime-time television in every respect: writing, acting, production values, music, and so on. Still, one's appreciation of the show largely depends on the characters' likeability, and that's very much a matter of taste. Gibbs may be a chick magnet, with four former wives and a past relationship with Shepard to prove it, but he's also a taciturn fellow with horrible social skills. DiNozzo's funny and insouciant, but his smugness and incessant razzing of computer nerd Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) soon becomes tiresome, while Shepard is steely and simply unlikeable (the most appealing characters are arguably McCallum's Mallard and Pauley Perrette's mouthy Abby Sciuto, the goth-like forensic expert). Bonus material includes cast and crew commentary on various episodes and a typical assortment of featurettes. --Sam Graham

Review :
NCIS Season 5--Beneath The Surface...
There has been a pattern in the writing of NCIS that has always been fascinating. Ever since "Bete Noire" in Season 1, this series has always used it's season finale to essentially set up the next season's finale. "Bete Noire" introduced Ari Haswari. In the finale to Season 1, Jethro Gibbs shot Ari to cover Haswari's double agent status--though Gibbs would have preferred to kill Ari. Because Ari wasn't killed at the end of Season 1, he was able to murder Kate Todd at the end of Season 2. Because Ari shot Kate at the end of Season 2--and more importantly, WHY he chose to murder her--we were able to get the backstory of Gibbs revealed, the tragedy surrounding his first wife and daughter, which culminated with Jethro leaving the MTAC at the end of Season 3. Because of Gibbs' "retirement", NCIS Director Jenny Shepard was able to initiate her off-the-books operation against Rene Benoit, using Tony DiNozzo to romance La Grenouille's daughter Jeanne.
So as we get into Season 5,...
Shock after Shock
A late comer to NCIS, I discovered the series by accident at the rental store. I had to watch everything they owned, then bought all the seasons they didn't have. Fifth season was one of best. Even though this season was shorter (only 18 episodes due to the writer's strike) it had all the character banter that makes this series fun. Whether its Gibbs one liners, Tony's womanizing, Ziva's seriousness, Jennie's obsession, McGeek's incredible wizardry with a computer (and a cameo with an Iron Fist comic book to boot), or Abbey's incredible energy, this series just brings the relationships between these characters to life. Somehow you come to care about them deeper than you do with other series. Perhaps its because the writer's have snuck so many surprises through the series, or perhaps its because the creators don't insult the intelligence of the viewer and include references to episodes from the very beginning of the series, or maybe its because the actors are having so much fun,...
Great Series!
As the titles states, this is a great series. One of the largest factors that separates NCIS from other crime dramas is that the characters are so dynamic. It details enough about their backgrounds while still sticking to the crime busting plot. And as shown from the previous seasons, the series continues to bring up situations that makes it different from the Law and Order, new crime everyday type. If you love crime dramas or even just think they are OK then you will really enjoy this series!

Outstanding.
When I first heard of NCIS, my immediate reaction was, "Oh no, not another investigative show!" Programs such as CSI, Cold Case, and Without a Trace have never impressed me; I find many of the characters bland, and though the cases themselves may be good, it's a show's cast that sells it for me.

Luckily, NCIS does the opposite: the formula comprises of characters first, crime second, and the show is embedded with such wit and humor that it's hard not to like it. The cast includes sarcastic Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon); ladies-man Tony DiNozzo (the highly attractive Michael Weatherly); witty Kate Todd (Sasha Alexander) to provide amusing banter with Tony; goth Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette); and M.E. Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum), who has a passion for storytelling. Season two also adds probational officer ("probie") Tim McGee (played by Sean Murray) as a new agent to the team. (McGee guest starred in a number of episodes in season one as well.)

NCIS...
One of my favorite primetime programs
My introduction to NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service came last spring as I watched several episodes of the third season with my wife and mother-in-law. I've enjoyed the program immensely, and with the DVD releases of Seasons One and Two, I have been able to do some catching up watching the show's earlier episodes.

The series follows a team of special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, which handles crimes connected to personnel of the United States Navy and Marine Corps, ranging from murder and kidnapping to espionage and terrorism. Created by Donald Bellisario (Quantum Leap, JAG), NCIS originally began as a two-part episode of JAG in the spring of 2003. The program then debuted on CBS as a stand-alone series in September of that same year.

Returning cast members from Season One include Mark Harmon stars as special agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, the no-nonsense leader of the NCIS team. Gibbs' teammates include former Secret Service...
You snooze - you lose!
This show is a hoot! The stories move along at a fast pace and so does the banter between the main characters. For me, character development is everything - I buy into these wonderful performances completely. Pay attention or you'll lose out on the wonderfully quick dialog. Clearly, one the best shows on television.

Suggestion: the production company should include subtitles with future NCIS releases.
