This Choo Choo is chuggin along but not at full steam
As the father of twin three year olds who are enamored with the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse series, this DVD seemed like a reasonable gift. The number of repeat viewings at our house has outnumbered those for Mom or Dad's DVDs, so I feel qualified to write a review.

PROS

The quality of the episodes shares the same strengths of the series in general. Bright, colorful computer generated graphics are used in conjunction with simple plots. Mickey and his friends are friendly, interesting characters that our little guys have enjoyed since their twos. There are a few bouncy songs, but adults probably won't find them cloying or otherwise Barney-esque.

The main feature obviously focuses on Mickey's train, which is a natural theme for toddlers. It seems to be a holiday-themed episode, given the presence of snow and cameos by two icons of the Christmas season. The main feature runs at twice the length of a typical episode. The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse has changed a lot since I first saw it years ago. Mickey and his pals, Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto are in their own half hour cartoon to teach young children colors, alphabet, numbers, shapes, cooperation, friendship and more. Oh Boy!

Just received this DVD today and like Mickey's Great Clubhouse Hunt and Mickey Saves Santa, this one is great and my 2 year old son loves it. There are two other episodes on the DVD that we have seen on Playhouse Disney. There is the Dr. Daisy episode where Daisy tries to earn her pretend dr. sticker and there is the Magician Goofy episode where the gang helps Goofy practice his magic tricks for the magic show. We've seen these several times before but my son still loves to watch them. The Halloween episode is cute. I just wish they would release more! If your little one is a Mickey Mouse lover then he/she will love this one as well, there is no doubt!!

Excellent DVD!
This is such a great DVD! My daughters are 2 and 1 and they love it! Our friends have boys the same ages and they love it as well. I love that Minnie and Daisy are in every episode - it's nice to see female characters more often. Some other things that are great about it:

1) There are 4 episodes plus bonus features so you get a lot of Mickey for the price. It's a better value than other Mickey DVD's, with some only having 2 episodes.

2) This is so educational. There is tons of counting, color recognition, games to match items, and they are always on a "mystery" to find/save something and it's fun to watch it evolve from start to finish. My children love it!

3) The voices are cute and the characters, in my opinion, are not annoying. They are funny and they talk right to the screen, so it's great to watch children answer back.

4) The familiar and predictable pattern of each show is perfect for toddlers. My children yell out what's coming, and...
Good collection, all repeats

You will not get any new episodes on this DVD. All of the episodes are previously aired Disney channel episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. That said...

This is a good collection of episodes with a common theme that they are all based on or similar to classic Fairy tales. My daughter loves the "Donald the Frog" episode and I love, "Sleeping Minnie."

I read that some people had a problem with their dvd. I don't know if that is common, but I didn't have an issue with mine. We've watched it maybe three times (they are repeats we've seen, after all) and haven't had any problems.

My daughter loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I try to limit her screen time so I am glad that she enjoys this educational program. They work on colors, counting, sequences, sorting, problem solving, etc. I also turn on the subtitles so that she can associate the spoken word with the written word.

I myself was a mousekateer when i was small and faithfully watched the Mickey Mouse Club and i wanted to share the gift of Mickey- This was a gift to my niece for my great nephew and the children my niece watches his cousins- there is my great nephew who is 9 months old, along with 3 other older toddler cousins two are three years old and a one year old, she said all 4 children stayed engrossed in the first episode of Mickey mouse the whole 25 minutes that doesnt happen alot so she loves mickey mouse clubhouse too! and how all children just LOVED it and cant wait for more episodes she said especially her son who at 9 months old normally his attention wanders within just a short while- not with Mickey mouse clubhouse- she said he stays engrossed and loves Mickey mouse and friends and thier adventures- he waves his hands and is totally having so much fun! now thats the power of the Mouse! i watched a clip of the MM clubhouse too and i like how Mickey speaks to the "audience" and...
My girls love it

My girls, 2 and 4, love Mickey Mouse clubhouse so naturally they love this disc. The icing on the cake was that my 4 year old is super into camping right now, and this disc includes all outdoor episodes including a camping themed one. My only "issue" is that I cannot seem to get to the main menu quickly, I have to skip several previews/ads to get to it.

Android Users Please Read This Review
Ok, my son loves Mickey, especially Mickey Mouse Funhouse. We purchased several of the DVDs as Christmas gifts.

Much to our surprise, there is no easy way to put the content the DVDs on his Android tablet.... it will only allow you to copy the product to I-devices (must use iTunes), or devices with windows media player installed. He is turning 3 soon, and I just can't justify purchasing anything other than an inexpensive tablet. This thing comes with a onetime use download code and some copy protection hocus-pocus that does funky crap to you computer and storage devices.....

I understand why Disney wants to protect their intellectual property, but, they need to remember that the people purchasing the DVDs are trying to do it the right way or they would have just downloaded it via some pirate site in the first place.....so my advice to any Android customers is don't buy this DVD. I know my saying this will have little or no effect on the empire that is Disney,...
