Review :
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (Complete Series): 41 DVDs; 105 episodes; 5 DVDs of bonus Special Features.
OVERVIEW:

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is an American television series broadcast on NBC from September 22, 1964, to January 15, 1968. It follows secret agents, played by Robert Vaughn and David McCallum, who work for a secret international counter espionage and law and enforcement agency called U.N.C.L.E. (United Network Command for Law and Enforcement). The series consisted of 105 episodes originally screened between 1964 and 1968, with the first season in black-and-white, with the rest in colour. Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughn) was to have been the focus, but a scene featuring a Russian agent named Illya Kuryakin (David McCallum) drew enthusiasm from the fans and the agents were paired. Leo G. Carroll played Alexander Waverly, the British head of the organization (Number One of Section One).

In Season 1, it was against the always very popular “The Red Skelton Hour” from CBS, and the rating was quite poor, with the show almost cancelled. When the show was...
"Open Channel D..."
I purchased the briefcase the first year it came out. A from me-me Christmas gift! It's terrific!! While it looks like all of the bonus features are listed in the box set description, I know one that is not: David McCallum's home movies. They'er great! He took his own camera and shot behind the scenes footage of the cast, crew sets and on location. if memory serves, David does the narration. But for those of you who don't want to-or can't spend the $$ on the complete set, can watch MFU on tv. Those of course that get the station ME-TV, can watch it. It's been airing since August/September of last year. As part of their "The Spies Who Love Me" block of shows which also include Mission Impossible and Get Smart.
These air between 10:00p.m.-1:00a.m. on Sunday night. {beginning with MFU at 10:00.)

BUYER BEWARE - but it is a great series!
To be clear, the five stars are for the series itself - while it may seem retro now, it was very influential to those of us who watched it as teens in the mid 60s.

BUT - you can purchase the identical 41 discs new on Amazon for about the half the price of this package. All that is new here IS the packaging - it is a slim format. If that is important enough for you to spend an additional $80, then buy it. But search Man From UNCLE in Amazon and you will see the "brief case" packaging available as new for HALF the price of this item. Same discs - they have not been remastered.

Whichever packaging you choose, the content is what is important, and this is a terrific series!

Review :
Can't believe how few people mention the humor
The humor is one of the main reasons I love this show. It is dry, wry, and often very dark. And it is completely in character. There has been only one recuring character who seemed to be for "comic relief", and he hasn't shown up this season.

And I echo the statement that if you are new to POI, you should watch it from the first show. This is one of only two television series that I have bought on disk. I can't imagine watching the last show of season two without seeing everything that happened before, and I can't imagine watching anything from this season without having watched that. And not just because you would be confused about some things, but for the extra appreciation for the characters, story, and yes, the humor.

I have just learned of the availability of new episodes on Amazon, and will definately use that service if I ever miss a show.

A Most Intelligent Study of Collective Paranoia
Person of Interest is certainly one of the most intelligent shows offered by TV today. I am a big fan of Jim Caviezel and when I heard that he was doing this series I had to wait until the first season finished to watch it on DVD as I am not connected to commercial TV. I was blown away by the intriguing and intricate plotting and just the right amount of "techie" gadgetry to keep my interest; not to mention the layers of mystery surrounding the characters and the technology. And who are the good guys and the bad guys really? Sometimes it's difficult to tell the difference. Sometimes the line you won't cross needs to be moved a few inches to the left - or right. And, sometimes, maybe, dead is better. The viewer definitely gets a full dose of paranoia each episode, not to mention the intense need to duck every now and then during the watching.

Jim C. always delivers, and I was not disappointed. However, Michael Emerson's (an actor I had not seen before)...
Love Love Love thus show!
It seems like some shows come out & are very good the 1st & sometimes second season, but by the time the 3rd season rolls around they start to lose their spark. Well, I'm here to tell u that is NOT the case with POI. It is good, VERY GOOD! It seems to me like they're getting better & better. Which is generally pretty hard for a show to do. Most of the time a show is cancelled b4 or during its 3rd season. So it really surprises me that the writers of this show are getting better & better with each episode. Not to mention the actors. They are fabulous:) The actors/actresses are flawless, it just comes so natural to them. They make it easy to watch & root for them.
I'm super excited they brought Shaw on full time as part of the team. When I seen the 1st episode she was in, I said right then, it would be awesome if she joined the cast full-time. They needed another girl & a bada$$ like Shaw fulfilled the team. Put it this way, this not like all the cop dramas u see on TV, this show...

No-spoilers review--and you really need that for Orphan Black
If ever a TV show needed a no-spoilers review it's this one. The trouble is, everything's a spoiler when "Orphan Black" is concerned, and the less you know going in, the more fun you'll have with this show's onrushing tidal wave of plot twists and turns.

So--what can I tell you that will let you know whether you want to see this or not without spilling all those beans? Well, I'll try.

1. Don't see this if you need glossy, upbeat Hollywoody science fiction. There isn't a single Dudly Do-Right in the entire cast of characters. Everyone has issues. Everyone has baggage. Problems can't always be solved by sweet reason, Star Trek style. And who's a Good Guy or a Bad Guy isn't always clear, even when you learn just who and what they are. And with some of the more damaged characters, they can't necessarily be fixed--ever. Some things you can't come back from. And problems don't have quick fixes. That is, there's no pandering to your inner 12 year old. This is a show for...
Best beginning to a series.
I'm hard to impress about TV shows, especially beginnings. First episodes-- even for good ones-- can be awkward, with the cast and writers not yet finding the chemistry.

This one hit managed to hit maximum speed seconds after it began, and then spent the rest of the show proving there was more to spare. Somehow, it did this without sacrificing character development. Thanks to co-creator John Fawcett's taut direction, and remarkable performances by Tatiana Maslani as three physically identical women with distinct personalities, accents and mannerisms. She even plays one mimicking another, with her cockney accent wavering.

The story is about Sarah, a young woman surviving on the margins as a hustler and a drug dealer, who's just walked out on her boyfriend. She witnesses a stranger identical to herself, Beth, commit suicide. Sarah steals and assumes her identity. Despite the fact that Sarah had little to lose, it turns out this was not the best move. Remarkable series!
You hear the buzz. Everyone talking about Tatiana Muslany's acting and how she was worse than snubbed for the Emmy's - find out why.

I didn't watch this show live, I bought the DVD and watched it because of this very thing and I am here to tell you that the world was not wrong.

Amazing show. Her acting is just BEYOND. Honestly I can't think of a single acting performance, male or female, TV or movie, that comes even slightly close to what Muslany does in Orphan Black. It is astonishing. Simply astonishing.

The first 2 episodes are kinda set up, but after that... Wow. Honestly by episode 3 or 4 you have to remind yourself that it is only one actress playing these parts. By episode 5 you aren't even thinking about it anymore you are just enjoying the ride.

With only 10 episodes you can easily watch this entire show on a Saturday or weekend, which is a good thing because once you step into this world you will want to keep watching. The subject...

Review :
Amazing Show finally getting the Blu-Ray treatment it deserves.
I preordered this item as soon as I saw it was available. This show is one of my favorite DC cartoons of all time, being beaten out only by Season 1 (or Season 2 depending on how you count the seasons) of Justice League Unlimited. The 5 Year time jump this season was jarring for some. It really didn't bother me much, considering the benefits we got from it. Seeing Dick as Nightwing and the inclusion of a lot of my favorite characters from the Young Justice comics. I think season 1 is stronger as a cohesive story but season 2 had a lot of really great character moments and some amazing action.

I'm excited that we're actually getting a couple commentary tracks and a behind the scenes look with this set. I assume the first season on Blu-Ray sold so well they decided to give the fans a little something this time around.

Overall, if you liked the first season, buying this one is a no-brainer. If you haven't seen season 1, I'd highly recommend starting there...
Young Justice Season 2 Blu Ray
Great. Amazing.
So happy to have the second season in my collection.
I recommend it to anyone who loved Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, and/or Teen Titans (the original CN version, not Teen Titans Go).

Also, unlike Young Justice Season 1, this version comes with bonus material:
1) Commentary Track on Series Finale Episodes Summit and Endgame with creators Greg Wiesman and Brandon Vietti, along with voice actors Jason Spisak (Kid Flash) and Stephanie Lemelin (Artemis).
2) Interviews with Greg Wiesman and Brandon Vietti.

Hopefully, if sales for these blu ray sets go well they will be able to revive the show....fingers crossed!

Buy this Blu Ray for future content in the "Young Justice" universe.
"Young Justice: Invasion" was a very different season from the first season. The characters are more mature, darkness consumes the atmosphere, death occurs more frequently. Yet, it remains extremely enjoyable! A true writer's talents are revealed when they can simultaneously evoke emotions of sadness and emotions of joy within the same episode, without feeling forced. Bruce Timm and Alan Burnett did this with "Batman The Animated Series". Joss Whedon does this with all of his work. And, Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti are masters at this. Vietti, previously having directed "Batman: Under The Red Hood", and Greg Weisman, previously having done "The Spectacular Spider-Man" and "Gargoyles", bring their A-Game with Young Justice Invasion. Season 1 effectively brought the audience in to the vast world of Earth-16. Season 2 allows the creators to fully dive in, head first, within the DC mythos. As a result, this season can be overstuffed at times, but...

Pacific Rim (Blu-Ray + Digital HD UltraViolet)

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity's resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes-a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)-who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind's last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Review :
A fantastic adventure with Del Toro's great polish throughout
Pacific Rim got hammered pretty hard by a lot of confused critics who apparently only know Guillermo del Toro from his more artistic magical realism work and somehow missed Hellboy, Mimic, and Blade 2. Pacific Rim belongs solidly to the latter camp, but it's a labor of love and is missing none of the flair that makes del Toro films so special. At its core it is essentially a Western Super Sentai film; heroes suit up in giant robots to battle monsters that are invading our dimension... And that's it. You can foist all sorts of allegory onto this movie if you want, and you can plumb it for deeper meaning- it's rich enough- but at the end of the day it's a thrilling adventure about friendship, big robots, and monster punching. Wet blankets need not apply.

Short summary: a portal to an alien world opens under the ocean and giant monsters come out. The governments of the world team up to battle them, eventually doing so with Jaegers, huge robots piloted by two psychically linked...
What Bayformers could have been
I'll say up front, though it bears little resemblance to the monster sized dump that is Michael Bay's "Transformers" trilogy-Pacific Rim is the type of movie Bayformers should have been. What I mean by that-is that unlike those hell spawned abominations-Pacific Rim delivers giant robots that awe and inspire instead of ones that pee on people and dangle metallic testicles. Also unlike Bayformers you will not be forced to witness any dog humping or have to groan through lame "jokes" about red mugs in yellow rooms. (No 45 minute long who-gives-a-crap job interview scenes in here either)

Thankfully-Pacific Rim does not take an uber-cool property and twist it, turn it and crush it beyond recognition into some overly long, lame one-note joke of a film. Instead, it's completely earnest and non cynical in its delivery. I've been a fan of Guillermo Del Toro since Pan's Labyrinth (a BRILLIANT adult fairy tale) and have gone back and watched his other films to discover what a...
Non-spoiler - Big Robots vs. Big Monsters = BIG FUN!
If you ever watched a Godzilla movie, or any other giant monster movie, and wanted to see what it might look like with today's special effects, grab your popcorn and check out Guillermo del Toro's "Pacific Rim."

In the near future, Earth faces invasion from giant monsters (Kaiju), who emerge from the ocean and wreak havoc on coastal cities. The humans create giant robot Jaegers to fight them. For a while this works, but the monsters grow stronger and once again overwhelm the humans. Pacific Rim follows a former robot jockey who is called back to duty as the human defenses dwindle.....

I've looked forward to this movie for a long time, as I loved the giant monster movies of my youth. This didn't disappoint. Interesting and intimidating Kaiju, unique and powerful Jaegers, well choreographed fight scenes, and awesome special effects combine to make this a fantastic summer movie. There were several scenes which had the audience cheering and applauding...

Review :
No Racism
I haven't purchased the dvd set yet. Out of stock in my area. I want to comment on the talk of racism of the show. As a 30 year old Black man, that watched the show religiously growing up, I find no racism in the show at all. Sure they weren't as many Blacks regularly on the show, that doesn't come from the tone of the show, that's comes from the politics of Hollywood at the time.

I was born and raised in DC, spent my summers in NC. In fact, I now live in NC, so the good nature of the south has always been in me. I can relate to the Dukes and their struggle. Here is a show about two guys, no mention of their fathers, growing up poor, always helping their fellow man or woman, stood up for what was right, even against the law. Now if this isn't an example of an honest Black male growing up in the inner city, I don't know what is.

Forget color!!! This show was about family, struggle, triumph, heroism. If we as people lived as thoughtful and caring as the Dukes,...
Victims of Political Correctness.
Warner Bros is now removing the Confederate Flag from the General Lee. They claim the flag is a symbol of hate and represents racism. The irony is Warner has now admitted they have profited from racism for decades and never cared. They let the flag fly on the Charger because of greed instead of ethics.... BUT, I say the flag was there because nobody ever considered it a symbol of hate or racism. When the Dukes began in 1980, we had political correctness back then. TV producers were going out of their way to put Black actors in their shows. To attack preceived White Actors, with shows like Archie Bunker and the Jeffersons. You can bet if the flag represented what they claim it does today, CBS would have NEVER used it at all. They did because it didn't. It is only recently that we allowed bigots to change the definition of the flag so they can continue their crusade against any sort of Americana. It won't be long before you can't even fly the Stars and Stripes or say the word America.

Finally, Dukes available on DVD...
Finally, the first season of Dukes on DVD. The characters took some time to flesh out before they became the stereotypical heroes and villians that most viewers remember the show for. In the beginning, Rosco was more of a corrupt cop and less of a lovable dope, which in many ways I prefer. Boss Hogg was also a bit more intelligent of a character in the beginning. And rather than just basing shows on car chases and "how to frame the Dukes this week" as in later seasons, the first episodes were intelligently written schemes that the viewer can easily get lost (in a good way) as to what's going on. The first five episodes were filmed in Covington, GA (before they moved to familiar backlot in Burbank, CA), and you really get the sense that these are southern people in the South, rather than the stereotypical backwoods feeling you get from the Burbank episodes. That these early episodes focused more on plot is most evident in "Mary Kay's Baby," the only episode in all seven seasons...

Review :
Okay.... WOW!
Apparently the CW, in conjunction with Warner Bros. television studios, totally gets DC comics because after completely owning the character Green Arrow, they've gone and created a series about another iconic hero from that universe (i.e. The Flash), that's both true to the source-material and possessing all the sophistication of the big-screen.

So, let's see: superhero origin story... check, crossover scene with "Arrow"... check, foreshadowing for future Central City villains... check, great casting all-around... check, lots of eye-candy FX and exciting action... CHECK!!! Those of us who were able to watch episode 8 from Arrow Season 2 already knew who was gonna play Barry Allen, but actor Grant Gustin seems to have already become the part with just a cameo and a single pilot; and then there's Jesse L. Martin playing Detective Joe West, the guy that basically raised Barry and is also his mentor and biggest supporter at C.C.P.D. (where the latter works in forensic...
I Am So Hooked!
Glad i took a risk and bought the season for this one. I already love Arrow and since this is the spin off, I figured it would be good but now that I've watched the first episode, good is an understatement. There's lots of potential here. Really hope this one stays around awhile.

"Now, run, Barry, run!"
Having just watched the F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M. episode ("Fallout") I have to say that I haven't had this much fun watching a season of superhero in quite awhile! I was around for the 1990 Flash and it's very cool that they were able to bring in JWS to play Barry's incarcerated father. I thought the special effects of that older series were "nifty" imagine how I'm reacting to this show's kinetic crackling speed.

Also the writing has been so good and each week we follow this accumulating "trail of bread crumbs" creatively teasing us along. In the beginning the particle accelerator explodes leaving a destroyed lab and they take a moment to show the nametag "Grodd" over a wrecked animal cage. And who else did this blast effect? One guy can control the weather while another can siphon electricity. Add to this a semi-ethical robber and we see "The Rogues" gallery begin to take shape.

The crossovers with "Arrow" have been a...

Watchmen: Ultimate Cut + Graphic Novel (Blu-Ray)

Someone's killing our super heroes. The year is 1985 and super heroes have banded together to respond to the murder of one of their own. They soon uncover a sinister plot that puts all of humanity in grave danger. The super heroes fight to stop the impending doom only to find themselves a target for annihilation. But, if our super heroes are gone, who will save us?

]]>Everybody's favorite graphic novel comes to the screen (after years of rumors and false starts), less a roaring work of adaptation than a respectful and faithful take on a radical original. Watchmen is set in the mid-1980s, a time of increased nuclear tension between the United States and the Soviet Union, as Richard Nixon is enjoying his fifth term as president and the world's superheroes have been forcibly retired. (As you can probably tell, the mix of authentic history and alternate reality is heady.) Things begin with a bang: the mysterious high-rise murder of the Comedian (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), a masked hero with a checkered past, puts the rest of the retired superhero community on alert. The credits sequence, a series of tableaux that wittily catches us up on crime-fighting backstory, actually turns out to be the high point of the movie. Thereafter we meet the other caped and hooded avengers: the furious Rorschach (Jackie Earle Haley), the inexplicably naked Dr. Manhattan (Billy Crudup, amidst much blue-skinned, genital-swinging digital work), Silk Spectre II (Malin Akerman), Nite Owl II (Patrick Wilson), and Ozymandias (Matthew Goode). The corkscrewing storytelling, which worked well in the comic book, gives the movie the strange sense of never quite getting in gear, even as some of the episodes are arresting. Director Zack Snyder (300) doesn't try to approximate the electric impact of the original (written by Alan Moore--who declined to be credited on the movie--and illustrated by Dave Gibbons) but retains careful fidelity to his source material. That doesn't feel right, even with the generally enjoyable roll-out of anecdotes. Even less forgivable is the blah acting, excepting Jeffrey Dean Morgan (lusty) and Patrick Wilson (mellow). Watchmen certainly fills the eyes, although less so the ears: the song choices are regrettable, especially during an embarrassing mid-air coupling between Nite Owl II and Silk Spectre II as they unite their--ah--Roman numerals. In the end it feels as though a huge work of transcription has been successfully completed, which isn't the same as making a full-blooded movie experience. --Robert Horton

Review :
Additional changes for Director's Cut
The director's cut runs about 25 minutes longer, and incorporates more elements from the comics, adds more violence, as well as more shots of Dr. Manhatten's schlong. Some of the previous scenes are reworked with additional dialogue. Information has been supported by sites such as AICN etc.

Overall, the storyline and conversations are better fleshed out, and this version is truer to the comics. The largest additional addition is that of Hollis Mason's death, which is spectacularly directed to the score of the Intermezzo from the opera Cavalleria Rusticana (think Godfather III).

(1) Rorschach gets additional dialogue, some straight from the comics.

(2) When Rorschach searches the Comedian's apartment shortly after the opening scene, he encounters two cops still stationed there. He fights briefly with them before jumping back out the window.

(3) Conversation between Dan and Rorschach (beans scene) is extended.

(4) All flashbacks...
Movie is of course awesome...so is Nite Owl Ship!
This is just to point out something not mentioned in the description. As you know, this comes with an exclusive Nite Owl Ship.

First, it looks cool. Nice details, looks 'properly used'. But here's the thing. After I unpacked it I noticed a slip of paper at the bottom of the box. It described how to replace the batteries in the Nite Owl Ship. Wait... BATTERIES?

So I then discovered the ship is made to easily come off it's stand. Under it there is a battery compartment. It requires a small Phillips head to open. I opened it to confirm... yup a battery compartment with two batteries!

But for the life of me I could not figure out what the Nite Owl Ship was suppose to do! I saw no switch. So I even tried talking to it... nope, no voice recognition.

*** spoiler **

Finally... I figured out the top plate (circular on the very top) is a hidden switch! You press it... and it lights up (detail lights and bright main front lights)! And, for...
The End is Nigh.. But at Least it's the Ultimate Cut
Finally, Zac Synder's vision as it was meant to be. I can't believe they milked the DVD release for literally ever last penny they could. Nevertheless, I am incredibly pleased to own 'Watchmen: the Ultimate Cut'.

Review :
A Hard-Hitting, Gritty, Emotional Family Crime Thriller with Plenty of Heart and Raw Action
This was by far one of the few movies I've seen in recent months that I absolutely enjoyed every minute of in theaters - to my utmost surprise. It is Liam Neeson's best action movie in a very long time - and blows the socks off any of the garbage "Taken 2/3" Hollywood cash-grab sequels that are purely for money. Yes this does have some awesome action/chase/fight scenes, but at heart this is definitely not a "Taken" film - this is a hard-hitting raw family drama similar to Warrior with all the grit and raw street-ugliness of NARC (and then some). It's a mile-a-minute thrill ride shot brilliantly and has plenty of heart. You really do feel like you are watching these characters and this world Run All Night. Tone-wise, this film is perfect and I couldn't have asked for a more appropriate and darker-looking treatment. The cinematography, the film palette, the raw look and feel just made this all the more serious to watch - excellent. Acting was stellar and relationships...
An effective, old-school action flick imbued with intelligence
Theatrical review. There may be spoilers. While aging movie stars making action movies is nothing new, perhaps no one has been more visible than 62 year old Liam Neeson ("Taken" trilogy, "A Walk Among the Tombstones," "Non-Stop," "Unknown" and others). Here Neeson reunites with director Jaume Collet-Serra ("Non-Stop" and "Unknown) in what may be his best yet.

Neeson plays Jimmy Conlon, a broken-down, drunken hit man for Shawn Maguire (Ed Harris) the head of a NYC mob faction. Maguire, while still shady, is trying to go a bit legit. Jimmy isn't getting anything to do, but his old buddy Shawn feels sorry for him so throws him a bone now and then. Shawn's son Danny (Boyd Holbrook, who also worked with Neeson in "A Walk Among the Tombstones"), is still wanting to do some serious crime and invites some Albanian heroin traffickers to meet with dear old dad in order to pave the way for the drugs being introduced to the city pipeline. But Shawn wants no part of the drug...
Dont expect any heroes nor winners in this one...
Run All Night (2015) is a non-stop-action drama along the lines of Cold in July (2014) meets any of the action packed Liam Neeson films like: Taken trilogy, Non-Stop (2014), or Unknown (2011). Together with A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014) this must be my favorite film with Neeson to this day. I did like him in Unknown (2011), the original Taken (2008), The Grey (2011), and in the Five Minutes of Heaven (2009), but it is with the character of Jimmy Conlon at the age of 63 that Neeson made the biggest impression on me so far. In the film, Neeson portrays an over-the-hill ex-trigger man for an Irish-American mobster gone legit played by Ed Harris (something similar Harris played in the film History of Violence in 2005). Conlon is a washed-up alcoholic with no real friends and money, who keeps hanging around Shawn McGuire (Harris) and his family, because his own son does not want to know him. But when certain unforeseen circumstances occur, and Conlon's son becomes unintentionally...

The calling awaits Clark an awakening to a destiny that only he can accept and fulfill.

Season 5-
An astonishing season of destiny. Clark Kent now carries a full load of classes at Central Kansas U., but that's not all he carries. He carries the full weight of his and perhaps the world's destiny. "We call this season Superman in Training," series co-creator Alfred Gough says. "Clark is going to accept his destiny." During this exciting pivotal season: The Fortress of Solitude rises. A spaceship mystery unfolds. A dark tragedy - one even Clark's powers can't prevent - strikes. These and more key elements of Superman lore fall into place.

Season 6-
They tried to be friends but their chosen paths set them on a collision course. The Clark Kent-Lex Luthor rivalry explodes into the fierce good- versus-evil battle fans have long expected in Season 6 of the spectacular series that reinterprets the characters and events of Superman mythology from its roots.

Adding to the rivalry: Lana Lane becomes Mrs. Luthor. Clark/Superman would be stunned to find out why she says yes. But that’s not all that’s stunning. Green Arrow forms a Super Hero league. Will Clark join? Phantom Zone escapees menace Earth. Can Clark stop them? LuthorCorp expands its dark experiments. Will an awesome kryptonite-powered army be the result?

Season 7-There are two Clark Kents. One is the young man whose life in a tiny Kansas town sets him on destinys path. The other is a Bizarro who shares Clarks DNA but not his values. Only one of them can survive. Superman mythology grows deeper and more powerful in an event-packed season that includes the arrival of Clarks cousin Kara/Supergirl. Keep a low profile and master your powers, Clark says. Kara has other ideas. Plus: Lana Lang might prefer Bizarro to the real deal. Lois Lane makes a career leap. Chloe Sullivan finds that balancing a meteor power with a personal life isnt easy. And Lex Luthors power-lust has a new fixation Kara. New characters and complications. New secrets and lore. New thrills and special effects.

Season 8-There's a new reporter at the Daily Planet: Clark Kent, who shares a workspace with Lois Lane. There's a new hero in Metropolis, too. No one knows who he is. But Jimmy Olsen was on the scene of one of the do-gooder's exploits, and he snapped a blurred photo of the hero in superspeed action – a hero everyone now calls the Red-Blue Blur. Red-jacketed, blue-shirted Clark Kent draws closer to his Superman destiny in the exciting Season 8 of Smallville. Another Kryptonian destiny also takes shape. Davis Bloome begins to realize he is Doomsday. His mission on Earth: kill Clark Kent. So many new events (will Jimmy and Chloe's marriage last?), so many new faces (Tess Mercer, Saturn Girl and Cosmic Boy among them!), so don’t miss a single thrill-packed moment!

Season 9-Great planet, earth is. So great that other survivors of Planet Krypton wouldn’t mind making it home and taking control. But fellow Kryptonian Clark Kent has a warning for Zod and his followers who cross the line, especially if they seek to enlist Lois Lane in their schemes: I will destroy you all! Hearts grow fonder (Clark & Lois) and dangers grow stronger (Clark vs. warriors of Zod) in this 21-Episode Season 9 Collection. Plus, unexpected characters from DC Comics lore add exciting new layers to the adventures of the man who will become Superman. Among them: the shape-shifting Wonder Twins, magical Zantanna, and Justice Society of America’s Dr. Fate, Hawkman and Stargirl. May justice prevail – and Earth survive!

Season 10-
After a meteor shower bursts from the heavens, raining destruction on the unsuspecting citizens of Smallville, years pass, and the healing process leaves the town's inhabitants with scars and secrets. From the ashes of tragedy, a popular yet awkward teen attempts to decipher the meaning of his life and his clouded past. As he struggles with the transition from boyhood to adulthood, Clark finds that his strength and strange abilities set him uncomfortably apart from his peers.

Review of the ACTUAL box set
I'm a huge SV fan. Been one since about season two. And I wanted this awesome-looking collector's set so badly that I sold my seasons one through nine, some textbooks, etc. just to have money for it.

In the long run, I kind of regret doing that.

Here's the short version: If you already own seasons one through nine, do yourself a favor and just buy season ten. This big set, unfortunately, is not worth it.

Here's the long version: While the set looks beautiful, it's not practical. Each DVD is tightly (and I mean TIGHTLY) held in place by cardboard dividers. You literally have to pry out some of the DVDs from between two slats of cardboard. Obviously, this leaves some pretty heavy scratches. One of my DVDs looks like I set it on the floor, put my foot on top of it, and did the hokey pokey. The fronts of the DVDs look great, each season represented by a different Kryptonian symbol that die-hard fans will recognize. However, the DVDs are packed SO TIGHTLY...
Bad Design
I got this box set for chrismas and got all the way to 6th season and then had problems with the disc. I'm sorry who ever designed the package was an idiot. This is why I have reverted to downloading shows and movies. It is utterly rediculas to spend 200 dollars on a box set to find a disc so scratched up that it is unable to watch it. Beware before you buy this that chances are you are going to end up with disc that are scratched.

Warning must buy more with this!
Warning...you must buy other cases or something safe to put your DVD's in. It is a horrible designed cardboard sleeve with no protection that is sealed too tight. I've had to tear the cardboard to get DVD's out and it scratches your dvd too. Some have even gotten deep scratches on the first time taking the DVD out causing it to skip. So know you will have to tear the sleeves the DVD's are in and put them in something that won't destroy them.

Other than that its great!

How we want BATMAN: Uncut and Unedited
Holy Batmania, bat fans! It's official! To understand the importance of this DVD set... A few years ago a number of blogs took polls and asked fans of classic TV what programs have not yet been released to DVD that fans are begging for. THE WONDER YEARS, WKRP IN CINCINNATI and BATMAN were among the top three. This year, 2014, those goldmines are being excavated from the Batcave. Of course, many of us knew it was coming not just because official BATMAN (TV series) merchandise has been released to the market, but celebrities were leaking advance word. Months before Conan O'Brien leaked word that BATMAN was finally coming out on DVD, and Warners had to confirm (but could not provide a street date at the time), Julie Newmar (CATWOMAN herself) was at the Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Convention in Maryland in September 2013. When asked during a Q&A panel on stage why the BATMAN TV series had not yet come out on DVD, she remarked, "I wouldn't know since I don't own the property... but I can...
